Wendy Williams has tested positive for COVID-19 just one week after pulling out of scheduled appearances due to other health concerns.
The famed talk show host has been diagnosed with a “breakthrough case of COVID-19” despite being vaccinated. A statement posted to “The Wendy Williams Show” Instagram account confirmed the news on Wednesday and confirmed that the 13th season of the talk show had been pushed back to October 4th. Reruns of the show will continue until then.

Just a week ago, Wendy’s team shared that she was already battling unspecified health issues and was “undergoing further evaluations.” At that time, the show was postponed until September 20th.

While the specifics surrounding her health before the COVID-19 diagnosis have not been revealed, the 57-year-old TV personality’s well-being has caused concern for several years. Last year she announced that she was stepping back from her show due to complications regarding her Graves Disease. In 2017, she famously fainted during a Halloween episode of her show, which she blamed on “low electrolytes” and overheating.
