Wendy Williams Does Not Agree With The Court Appointing Her A Financial Guardian

Wendy Williams isn’t too happy with a judge appointing her a guardian to manage her finances.

In a statement, Wendy’s attorney says that she doesn’t want anyone to have control of her money.

“Please be advised that Wendy is not in agreement with the appointment of a financial guardian by the court. Wendy has been very clear that she does not want a financial guardian to tell her what she can and cannot do with her money,” Lashawn Thomas says.

Thomas adds that Wendy is “capable” of hiring her team to handle her financial affairs “and not the court.” In addition, she even claims that Wells Fargo leaked the report “in an attempt to lessen the public outcry and regulatory scrutiny mounting around” the bank.

There hasn’t been any word of who is Wendy’s appointed guardian. In March, Wendy accused her former manager of using her credit card to hire an attorney. Wendy claims Bernie Young was trying to file a petition against her.

Young was petitioning to become Wendy’s financial guardian. However, the petition came, as a result, of her former financial advisor Lori Schiller allegedly leading Wells Fargo to freeze her accounts. Schiller claimed Wendy was of “unsound mind” to handle her affairs.

“Wells Fargo has no questions and answers regarding my money. This is not fair. And Lori Schiller and Wells Fargo have this guardianship petition about keeping me away from my money,” Wendy says in a video. “This is not right, and this is not fair.”

Above all, a spokesperson for Wells Fargo denied “any allegations of improper actions with respect to Ms. Williams’ accounts.”
