As Wendy Williams continues to heal from the drama of her longstanding marriage and forthcoming divorce from Kevin Hunter, sources say tensions are heating up between Hunter and their 18-year-old son, Kevin Jr.
On Wednesday morning, cops responded to a physical altercation at a store parking lot near the family’s New Jersey home, reportedly between the father and son duo. Sources close to the family say Wendy dropped Kevin off at their former home to pick something up, while she left to run errands in the area.
However, according to TMZ, Kevin Jr. was unaware that his father was inside the home. Although the two were cool in the beginning, things took a turn for the worse after the father and son took a late night trip to the store. Sources say the two got into a heated argument over Hunter’s demand for spousal support after he encouraged his son to build a life of his own. Apparently, in turn, Kevin Jr. suggested his father work for his own money without his mother’s handouts.
According to the publication, amid the argument, Hunter reportedly launched at his son, accused him of being brainwashed by his mother and put him in a headlock. However, Kevin Jr. reportedly punched Hunter in the nose to break his hold.
Now, as a result, officials are investigating the incident between the two. However, in the wake of the incident which reportedly ended with Kevin Jr’s arrest, Hunter said, “I love my son very much and I will not be pursuing this matter legally. Things are not always how they appear.”
