Wendy Williams’s ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, is demanding two years of alimony back pay.
The former “Wendy Show” producer recently filed court documents demanding that the money be paid to him. Williams had been paying monthly alimony to her ex after their divorce was finalized in January 2020. Hunter famously used some of it to purchase a Florida home with his ex-girlfriend, Sharina Hudson. However, once Williams was placed in financial guardianship in 2022, her Wells Fargo accounts were frozen and the payments to Hunter ceased.
Hunter claims he attempted to handle the matter out of court via mediation but has been forced to bring the matter to a judge. The situation is seemingly dire for Hunter, who has been hurting financially since the payments stopped.
“I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses, and having been without this income for twenty-three months has affected me greatly,” his court documents read.
Hunter was forced to sell the Florida property in October 2023 for $1.25 million when he lost the battle to regain his alimony. Williams, who is battling dementia, has limited access to the money herself. Therefore, if Hunter is granted the back pay, it would have to be awarded by a court, though he was previously told there was no money to give. For this reason, Hunter has also requested bank statements as part of his case. He claims he was promised the documents by the financial guardian, though they were never produced, and he has no way of knowing for sure if Williams is truly broke.
