Wendy Williams shocked her live audience on Tuesday when she fainted in the middle of her show. In celebration of Halloween, the host dressed up as the Statue of Liberty with a flawless greenish wig, a sparkly green dress and a crown. However, 48 minutes into the show, Wendy began to stutter, her eyes grew wide, and just as she started stumbling, the television host fell to the ground.
Security quickly ran to Wendy’s rescue, as production quickly cut to commercial. When the show came back on, Wendy said she overheated from her costume, although she didn’t take it off. After the show, the host gave another PSA, this time from her home, saying she was drinking fluids and staying hydrated in the wake of the scare. She also posted a note to her Instagram to reassure fans that she was okay, but refused to provide any additional information outside of her talk show.
“Everybody relax. I’m doing fine, just need some water and electrolytes. On another note, I slayed and laid Halloween, LOL!” she wrote. “Shout out to my magnificent Glam Squad and Ceaser Galindo the costume designer. More on this tomorrow.”
