Wendy Williams is pushing back against claims made by her guardianship attorney, Roberta Kaplan, regarding her mental health. Kaplan recently stated that Wendy experiences “good days and bad days” due to her ongoing struggle with frontal lobe dementia (FLD), but the former talk show host is calling the statement “hogwash.”
Speaking to TMZ, Wendy denied Kaplan’s authority to comment on her mental state, saying, “How would she know that? I’ve never met Roberta Kaplan and I have never talked with her. I’m isolated and locked away in a luxury prison. So much for the Me Too movement.”
Kaplan’s comments came after Wendy’s recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, where she appeared sound and in good spirits. Despite this, Kaplan maintained that FLD has no cure and is the reason why Wendy remains under conservatorship. Wendy’s conservator, estate administration attorney Sabrina Morrissey, has been overseeing her affairs for several years.
However, Wendy painted a very different picture during her interview, claiming she doesn’t believe she is “cognitively impaired.” She also alleged mistreatment under the conservatorship, likening her care facility to a “prison” and saying she has only $15 to her name.
