It looks like Wendy Williams’s beau has left New York and returned home to Maryland, and she is devasted.
When talking about her “sad” farewell with Mike Esterman, whom she met through a “Date Wendy” segment on her talk show last month, the daytime host got teary-eyed.
Earlier this week, she said, “I really like him, and he really likes me. Like it broke my heart when he was leaving,” she said, “Like I walked him to the elevator and waited for the doors to close.”
However, the couple will be reunited shortly because she plans to visit Esterman in the Free State.
“This week, Mike and I will see each other…He lives in Maryland, and I live here.” Williams explained, “Because of the [COVID-19] virus, you can’t do all that traveling. You can’t. A smart one doesn’t. But I’m going to see him this week. He’s busy…We talk all the time.”
When Esterman, a 55-year-old contractor, joined her show’s “Date Wendy” segment, he was chosen as the winner from a field of three contestants competing for a romantic night out with Williams.
Following their first date, Williams felt she had “a lot in common” with Esterman and even shared a selfie with him.
“Mike and I are having fun!!” Williams said that she and Esterman went to the CORE Club and even ended up kissing. She wrote, “I’m glad he’s a REAL gentleman.”
