Wendy Williams Opens Up About Health Issues and Legal Battle on GMA, Tells Fans She’s Going to Be Back on ‘The Wendy Show’ [Video]

Wendy Williams has finally broken her months-long silence. She is addressing reports and rumors about her mental and physical well-being after health issues derailed her return to her daytime talk show, which started its 13th season without her.

In an exclusive phone interview with “Good Morning America,” Williams revealed that she is “comfortable” and “ready” to start working again.

“Give me about three months,” the talk show diva said. “There are private things that I have to deal with, and then I’ll be ready to come back and be free and ready to do my thing.”

Last month, producers of “The Wendy Williams Show” announced that the popular daytime talk show would end after 14 seasons. Producers decided to replace the show, moving forward with a new show with Sherri Shepherd as the host starting in the fall.

Shepherd had been one of the revolving guest hosts who filled in for Williams, who was said to have been dealing with complications from her Graves’ disease and a thyroid condition.

During her medical leave, Williams was forced into a legal battle with Wells Fargo Bank after they froze her accounts for two months. Williams claims the bank’s move prevented her from fulfilling her financial obligations, including mortgage payments and employee payroll.

“They say that I need somebody to handle my account. And I don’t want that,” Williams explained about Wells Fargo’s request for a conservatorship for the 57-year-old. “I want all my money. I want to see all my money that I’ve worked hard for my entire life. My entire life. I don’t lie, I don’t cheat and I don’t steal. I am an honest, hard-working person,” she continued.

“I want to spend more time with my family,” Williams stated. “And you know, working out and waiting for the responses to my money situation and Wells Fargo. And they don’t like that. I’ve worked hard every single day, even on days when you know, I might have a little cold.”

Despite the entire ordeal, the self-proclaimed “queen of all media” wants her fans to know she will be back.

“This is what I would love to say to my Wendy watchers: Keep watching because I’m going to be back on the Wendy show bigger and brighter than ever,” she said.
