Wendy Williams Opens Up After Finalizing Her Divorce From Kevin Hunter

Wendy Williams is opening up now that her split from Kevin Hunter has been finalized.

The 55-year-old talk show diva confirmed that she and Hunter are “fully divorced” during her Thursday appearance on ”The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

“After nine months, yes, I am fully divorced,” Williams told Fallon, “A door has closed in old life, the new chapter has been so lovely.”

Wendy revealed that she’s at peace with her divorce and has no regrets about her tumultuous marriage to Hunter.

“I’m not mad, you know, it was 25 years I don’t regret,” she said. “But you know what, sometimes people move on with their lives. And I have to tell you something, I’m now — I no longer live in Jersey, it is Wendy in the city.”

According to TMZ, the terms of their divorce will allow Williams to keep their home in Florida, while Hunter will receive the proceeds from another recently sold home in New Jersey.

The two are each foregoing alimony. Page Six reports that Hunter will sign over his shares of Wendy Williams productions to her and she will get their joint bank account, while he will keep his cars and separate businesses. Wendy will also continue to cover her ex husband’s health insurance under her current policy.

When Fallon asked if she’s dating, Wendy shot back, “Am I? Do I look like I have a hard time?”

  1. I can understand everyone wanting to move forward with their new chapter in life and close the old ones. I also understand that Wendy Williams is financially secure and part financially responsible for certain things in she and her ex’s divorce. What I’m not understanding is the fact that his infidelity and getting his mistress pregnant he’s being rewarded. If you ask me he’s being rewarded for his lack of respect in the marriage. It seems to me that all of these celebrity divorces where the woman is the predominate bread winner, the Judges are ordering spousal support ,alimony and other material things in the divorce. Maybe one day the law and system will change when it comes to how individuals are ordered in divorces. Especially when the individual has been unfaithful in the marriage as long as Kevin Hunter was while married to Wendy. I’m happy she’s moving on and living her best life without him. When one door closes another one will open. Praying blessings and happiness for Wendy Williams.
