Wendy Williams angered viewers during a segment on her talk show where she callously announced the death of popular TikTok star Swavy.
According to The New York Post, the self-described “Queen of All Media” was trending on Twitter yesterday after comments she made about the death of 19-year-old Matima “Swavy” Miller pissed viewers off.
Media and internet critics claim Williams used Miller’s death (due to gunshot wounds) to elicit laughter from her audience.
The 56-year-old talk show host, who is known for her candid and off the cuff demeanor with her audience, made sure to point out that she had no idea who the Tiktok star was, “I have no idea who this person is…neither does one person in this building,” she quipped.

Williams, infamous for some of the outrageous things she has said, was slammed for hours on the social media platform with “Black Twitter” calling for her to be canceled.

In no way did Wendy Williams illicit any laughter from the audience, all she did was ask if they knew the deceased guy, hell I didn’t know of him as well.
