Wendy’s Brings Back the Vanilla Frosty

Good news for Frosty lovers—Wendy’s has officially brought back its beloved Vanilla Frosty! The popular dessert flavor made its return on Monday, after being temporarily swapped out for the limited-time Salted Caramel Frosty in late 2024.

But there’s a catch: Wendy’s is warning fans to act fast, as the Vanilla Frosty may not stick around for long. In a cryptic announcement, the fast-food chain teased, “Who knows what new Frosty flavor innovations are planned for 2025…” suggesting more limited-edition Frosty flavors may be on the horizon.

The Vanilla Frosty is no stranger to being rotated off the menu to make room for seasonal flavors. In 2024 alone, Wendy’s experimented with a variety of new Frosty options, including the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty (inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants), the Triple Berry Frosty, and the Orange Dreamsicle Frosty.

For fans who want to enjoy the Vanilla Frosty—and potentially other Frosty flavors—without breaking the bank, Wendy’s is offering a sweet deal through its Frosty Key Tag program. The Frosty Key Tag, which costs just $3, gives customers one free Jr. Frosty during every visit for the entire year of 2025.

Here’s how it works: Guests can purchase the key tag, available as a physical or digital tag, through February 15. Once activated, the tag can be used with any purchase to redeem a free Jr. Frosty through December 31, 2025. It’s a step up from previous years, when the key tag only allowed one free Frosty per day.
