Donald Trump gave a speech before the North Carolina Republican Party Saturday night, and while he spewed the regular vitriol, his pants managed to take center stage.
Video shows Trump stepping out from behind the podium with his pants absent one very important feature: the zipper. One theory is that they have an elastic waistband. But the theory Twitter is running with is that his pants were on backward. #Trumppants has been trending all day Sunday.
The former president has even garnered comparisons to hip hop duo Kris Kross’s outfit in the video for their hit “Jump.”
Trump’s speech didn’t offer any explanation for his wardrobe choice, but he did claim credit for the coronavirus vaccine. He also doubled down on his belief that the virus originated in a lab in Wuhan, China, and believes the country owes reparations to the world.
In his 90 minute speech, he continued to push his false claims of election fraud and once again claimed he was the true winner of the 2020 election.
Others are noting this, but it can't be shared enough: Donald Trump gave his big speech today with his pants on backwards. Look close and tell me I'm wrong.https://t.co/sRsoJVfyf8

In my attempt to verify the “Trump Backwards Pants” theory I went to YouTube for video proof. My “backward pants” search instead led me to Kriss Kross and their song Jump! #Trump #YouTube #Trumppants pic.twitter.com/MhRzP7Y5ZA
