A  breaking news reporter in West Virginia went viral after being hit by a car on live television on her last week at the job.

On Wednesday, Tori Yorgey was reporting on the scene of inclement weather in Dunbar, Virginia, when she was abruptly hit by a car.

After the car knocked her out of the camera view, she quickly recovered, reassuring the on-air anchor that she was okay.

“I just got hit by a car, but I’m OK,” she said as her camera fell to the ground. “I just got hit by a car, but I’m Ok, Tim.”

You know that’s live TV for ya!” she says with a laugh. She then shared how she was also hit by a car in college, so this isn’t new for her. “I am so glad I’m okay!” she continued.

Yorgey fixes the camera lights and gracefully rebounds her report on the water break.

The driver of the car that hit the local reporter was heard stopping to check on her, with Yorgey telling the driver she was not hurt.

“That woman was so nice, though. she didn’t mean to. It was an accident, and I know it was,” she told Tim, who was in the studio.

Yorgey was broadcasting alone, without a videographer or additional help when she was hit.

According to NBC’s Today show, Yorgey went to a local hospital for a checkup and is doing fine. It’s unclear if the driver of the vehicle that hit Yorgey was detained or questioned by the police.

The viral clip of Yorgey’s hit was filmed during her last week on the job at WSAZ. She is set to start as a reporter for WTAE-TV Pittsburgh soon.

According to a profile piece in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Yorgey was born and raised outside of Philadelphia and graduated from Penn State University.
