Looking for something new to watch this weekend? We’ve got a lineup that’s stacked with must-sees, whether you’re hitting the theaters or chilling on the couch.

From epic origin stories to intense psychological thrillers, there’s no shortage of action on the big screen. Plus, sci-fi fans can celebrate a major anniversary with a throwback screening of a genre-defining classic. Even if you don’t want to leave your house this weekend, it’s no problem; streaming platforms have something for you, too.

In Theaters:

1. Transformers One
Ever wondered how Optimus Prime and Megatron went from tight-knit bros to sworn enemies? This CG-animated prequel goes deep into their friendship and the epic events that tore them apart, shaping the fate of Cybertron. For Transformers fans, it’s a must-see origin story.

2. Never Let Go
Halle Berry is back, this time in a psychological thriller that’ll have you on edge. The film follows a mother and her twin boys as they fight off an evil lurking right outside their door. The only way to survive? Staying connected – literally. But when one of the twins starts to doubt what’s real, their bond unravels, and it’s a deadly race against time.

3. The Matrix
The original mind-bending sci-fi action and thought-provoking film is back in theaters to celebrate 25 years of blowing our minds.

On Streaming:

1. 1992 (VOD)
Set against the explosive backdrop of the LA riots following the Rodney King verdict, this film is a raw and gripping drama. The story follows Mercer, a Black man trying to reconnect with his son, while two white men, Riggin and Lowell, plot a heist during the chaos. As racial tensions erupt, their worlds collide in unexpected ways.

2. Agatha All Along (Disney+)
If you loved WandaVision, then this series is for you. Agatha Harkness is back and stripped of her powers. She embarks on a dark journey along the Witches’ Road, hoping to regain her abilities. With a coven by her side, she’s ready to take on mystical challenges.

3. The Penguin (Max)
Gotham City is a mess after mob boss Carmine Falcone’s death, and Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, is ready to seize control. But things heat up when Falcone’s daughter, Sofia, unexpectedly gets released from Arkham.

Whether you’re craving action, thrills, or something mind-bending, this weekend’s lineup has it all.
