What’s Wrong With Halle Berry?

What’s wrong with Halle Berry? A woman that fine can’t keep a man? I mean sure she left them but that’s besides the point. She married David Justice and he beat her until she was deaf in one ear. Had to be her fault. She’s crazy. She obviously should have stayed with him. Then there was Eric Benet, the man with a sex addiction that caused him to cheat on her every chance he got. Definitely Halle’s fault. She was an idiot for leaving him. Who knows what Olivier Martinez did, but knowing Halle’s track record, she should have stayed with him too. Clearly Halle’s vagina is trash because she can’t seem to keep men from cheating on her and beating her to near death.

This is how idiotic people on social media sound when they speak on Halle Berry’s love life. Many are too young to even know her history, but who needs facts anyway?

Here’s the thing. Halle Berry isn’t that different from most women. She’s a sucker for love and she’s terrible at picking men. The main difference between Halle and most women is that she actually gets men to marry her. Some women can’t even get a warm towel.

Halle’s father divorced her mother when she was four and they’ve been estranged ever since. Halle’s father was also abusive to Halle’s mother. She once recalled her mother being beaten daily, kicked down stairs and hit in the head with a wine bottle. Needless to say, Halle’s view of men from an early age was dysfunctional. I’m sure at an early age she yearned for the love of a man that she was never able to get from her father. A result of her skewed perception of what love is resulted in the terrible men Halle found herself becoming involved in.

Halle ended up with an abusive man, a cheating man and an angry man, she got pregnant by a gold digger, all because she was in search of love, a fairytale that at 49 she’s still trying to get a grasp on. There’s only one thing wrong with Halle and it has nothing to do with her being “crazy” or the quality of her sex. She’s not taking time to love herself. 

A lot of women neglect to take the time to really know their worth. We are in a rush to walk down the aisle and beat the dreaded biological clock. We find a man who promises us the world, concealing his flaws so well that he appears to be nothing short of Prince Charming. Instead, he’s a serpent in disguise and had we not been looking at our relationship through rose colored glasses, we might have noticed the warning signs early enough to avoid tying the knot. We want love and marriage so badly that we neglect the time needed to learn ourselves, love ourselves and really be alone — with ourselves. 

Halle Berry isn’t crazy, she’s lost. She’s a poor judge of men and rather than take the time to really REALLY get to know them, she takes them at face value. She’s in love with the idea. She’s in love with the potential. She probably thinks she can fix them, or she can live with that one little thing. Boy was Halle wrong.

And ladies, take it from Halle, a beautiful face won’t stop a man from punching you in it. And it sure won’t stop him from cheating on you. So the next time you try to figure out what’s wrong with Halle, realize that at one point you were Halle too. Some of you still are.
