White Australian Exposed For Posing Behind Biggest Black Lives Matter FB Page & Funneling Donations Intended For The Cause

The biggest Facebook page representing the Black Lives Matter Movement has been exposed as a fraud. Turns out, the page was actually being controlled by a white Australian man, per CNN Money. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ian Mackay, an official with the National Union of Workers in Australia, was behind the page, which had close to 700,000,000 followers.

Multiple payment services were attached to the page and donations were being accepted. Per the Washington Post, some of the funds that were donated were transferred to a bank in Australia.

Mackey has since been suspended from his role with the Australian government as an investigation is underway.

The NUW released the following statement regarding the incident:

“The NUW is not involved in, and has not authorized, any activities with reference to claims made in CNN’s story.”
