Donald Trump is taking his Alternative Facts to a new level in a newly released list of attacks the White House feels did not receive media attention. According to the White House, 78 of the listed “terror” attacks “did not receive adequate attention from Western media sources.”
“You’ve seen what happened in Paris and Nice. All over Europe it’s happening. It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported,” Trump told military leaders and troops during his first visit as president to U.S. Central Command headquarters in Tampa. “And in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have their reasons and you understand that.”
Included on Trump’s list are the San Bernardino shooting, Orlando (Pulse Nightclub), Nice, France and the attack at Christmas market in Berlin.
Trump did not elaborate on why he felt the media did not adequately report these incidents, or what his definition of “adequate” is, but at first glance, you can definitely see that all of the above incidents received world wide coverage.
Anderson Cooper was one of the many journalists that criticized Trump’s report that the media isn’t doing their job.
It doesn’t make our White House look very smart when the document they released contained several errors. “Attacker” is misspelled more than two dozen times. San Bernardino and Denmark were also misspelled. The list also contains an instance when one person was stabbed in Germany by an unknown person. Yet, they are suggesting it was a terror attack. If that’s the case, America has several American born terrorists living right on our soil — including those sworn to serve and protect.
