The official White House Instagram account is facing backlash after posting a Valentine’s Day message with a strong stance on immigration. The post, which appeared on February 14, features a pink card with a poem that reads:
“Roses are red
Violets are blue
Come here illegally
And we’ll deport you.”
The graphic includes edited images of Donald Trump and Tom Homan, the former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under Trump’s administration. Below the image, the White House Instagram captioned the post: “Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️.”

The post quickly went viral, with many questioning whether the White House’s official Instagram account had been hacked or if the post was a deliberate message. Some social media users expressed shock and outrage, arguing that the post was inappropriate and divisive, especially coming from a government account.
Others, however, defended the message, thinking it was funny.
