Beyoncé Knowles is headed on the road in her long-speculated “Cowboy Carter” tour and the BeyHive is buzzing with energy.
As Bey did with “Renaissance,” this tour will follow the theme of her country album, which just won Best Country Album at the Grammy’s. That means cowboy boots, big hats, big hair, and plenty of Southern soul packing the stadiums. While we can expect Bey to perform the cuts from her latest album, she is known for incorporating her older music into her newer releases. Therefore, it’s likely the setlist will include several tracks from “Renaissance” and even previous eras.
A blend of “Cuff It” and “II Hands II Heaven” could get the party going or even merging “Heated” and her rendition of “Jolene” could be a memorable moment for attendees. While much of the sounds of the tour are pretty predictable, it’s the potential special guests that may be the highlight.
During the “Renaissance” tour her daughter Blue Ivy joined her on stage. Megan Thee Stallion also performed with Bey, while Doechii and DJ Khaled were among the openers. This time around, it’s possible we may see several country stars making appearances on the “Cowboy Carter” stage.
Shaboozey is featured on two songs with Bey, “Spaghettii,” and “Sweet Honey Buckiin.” Additionally, he joined Bey during her Christmas Day NFL Halftime show. Therefore, there is a strong possibility that he could be joining her onstage. Country icons Linda Martell, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton are also included on the “Cowboy Carter” tracklist, along with Miley Cyrus, Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell, and Tiera Kennedy.
Cyrus and Bey also earned a Grammy for “II Most Wanted” in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category. With this considered, fans are eyeing Cyrus as a special guest on this highly-anticipated run.
Nevertheless, Bey will kick off the trek on April 28th in Los Angeles and conclude on July 11th in Atlanta. As we await to see what the Queen has in store, here are just five tracks from Beyoncé’s illustrious catalog that we hope will get a Texas-style remix on the road.
“Irreplaceable”
“Daddy Lessons”
“Countdown”
“Break My Soul”
“If I Were a Boy”
