If there’s one thing the NFL learned today, it’s to not mess with Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes or else his wife Miko will put you all the way on blast. Miko Grimes is notorious in the Dolphins community for being her husband’s #1 fan, as well as being one of the most outspoken and opinionated football wives in the game. Well, today was no different.
On Sunday night, her husband made his third appearance in the annual Pro Bowl. He played a great game, racking up 5 pass breakups, 1 interception, and 3 tackles. Like some others, Miko felt that he deserved to win the Defensive MVP award but at the end of the night, the award was given to Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, who also arguably had a great game. Well, Miko did not take this snub too kindly and this evening, she unleashed an epic rant against the NFL on Twitter. She claims that even though her husband deserved to be the MVP, he did not win it because the NFL was mad about him skipping practice to visit her while she was having emergency oral surgery.
Then she goes on to gripe about how the NFL only pretends to care about domestic violence issues and player injuries when all they actually care about is money, and she caps off her rant by threatening to expose the entire organization.
Yikes…
While I understand why she’s mad and I agree that she has some valid points regarding the NFL’s poor handling of many issues, this could have been done in a more private and professional manner. It is NEVER a good idea to bite the hand that feeds you and your family. SMH…Brent, come get your wife!!
