Will Smith recently opened up about his 10-year ban from the Academy in an interview with the Associated Press.

When asked about his stance and whether he plans to appeal, Will kept it real: “I am looking to be the best human I can possibly be, and I’m gonna take what I get with that.” He added, “I will fully accept any and all consequences for my conduct.”
Smith, who’s apologized to Chris Rock multiple times; once in his resignation speech, again in an open letter, and more recently in a video, revealed that he reached out to Rock but was told the comedian wasn’t ready to talk yet.
It’s clear Will’s owning up to his actions and focusing on personal growth moving forward.
