Will Smith took a seat at the red table for the newest episode of Jada Pinkett-Smith’s #FacebookWatch show #RedTableTalk and he shared some of the lowest moments in his 20+ year marriage to Jada.
In the preview clip from the upcoming episode, Will addressed his daughter Willow, who was joined at the table by her mother Jada and grandmother Adrienne Banfield-Jones, and said, “There was a period where mommy woke up and cried 45 days straight — I started keeping a diary.” After Jada interjected, “You missed some days” with a smile, Will continued explaining, “It was every morning. I think that’s the worst I’ve ever felt in our marriage. I was failing miserably.”
The love story between Will and Jada has been scrutinized and adored by fans over the years and the couple has never been shy about speaking their marital truths. Recently, Will made headlines when he said he and his wife “don’t even say we’re married anymore.”
“We refer to ourselves as ‘life partners,’ where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life,” he said on an episode of Tidal’s #RapRadar podcast.
Jada has also been candid about their unbreakable bond stating splitting up is not an option. On #SwayInTheMorning she said, “We are family. Take out all that whole marriage, relationship crap, at the end of the day, Will and I are family. I am going to hold him down, doesn’t matter…at the end of the day, that is a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life ― period.”
