The journey to Will Smith‘s comeback is reaching new heights as the superstar actor prepares to take the stage at the BET Awards this Sunday. Riding the wave of recent box office success, the “Bad Boys” star will debut and perform a new, original song at the much-anticipated awards show.
While specifics about Smith’s performance remain under wraps, insiders hint that he is working on a new album.
The event, hosted by the talented Taraji P. Henson, promises a night full of memorable moments. Grammy-winning artist Usher is set to receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement BET Award. Other performers lighting up the stage include Ice Spice, Sexyy Red, Latto, Lauryn Hill & YG Marley, Tyla, GloRilla, Muni Long, Shaboozey, and Victoria Monét, with Tanner Adell featured on the BET Amplified stage. Fans can also look forward to appearances by Cardi B, Davido, Gunna, the Roots, Common, Queen Latifah, and the Jungle Brothers. Leading the nominees with seven nods is none other than Drake.

The show will be overseen and executive produced by Connie Orlando and Jamal Noisette, SVP of tentpoles & music community engagement. Jesse Collins Entertainment, with Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay as executive producers, will handle production for the event.
The 2024 BET Awards airs Sunday, June 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
