The slap that can be heard across the world.
During Sunday night’s Oscars telecast, comedian Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s shaved head which did not sit too well with her husband, Will Smith.
“Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane two, can’t wait to see it,” Rock said while presenting an Academy Award.
The “King Richard” star then took the stage to smack Rock in the face.

Pinkett-Smith has been very open about her Alopecia struggle with her followers online. Apparently, the actress did not find the joke funny, neither did her husband.
Viewers questioned the authenticity of the slap and whether it was for the show’s views but apparently, it’s real. Soon after returning to his seat, Smith yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth!”
Later on, in the show, Smith apologized to the Academy as he accepted his Oscar for Best Actor.
