Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown isn’t holding back when it comes to debunking a wild story former President Donald Trump shared recently. During a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate on Thursday, Trump claimed that he and Brown once experienced a terrifying helicopter ride that almost ended in disaster. According to Trump, the helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing, and during the ordeal, Brown supposedly shared some harsh words about Vice President Kamala Harris.
But Brown, who’s known for his sharp wit and straightforward attitude, quickly shot down Trump’s claims. Speaking to KRON4, Brown dismissed the story as nothing more than Trump’s “creative fiction,” even laughing off the whole idea. “I don’t think I’d want to ride on the same helicopter with him,” Brown quipped, adding that he’s never even done business with Trump.
To make matters worse for Trump, California Governor Gavin Newsom, who was actually on that helicopter ride, also called Trump’s story “B.S.” The New York Times reported that the Brown on the flight was not Willie Brown but rather former California Governor Jerry Brown. Jerry Brown’s spokesperson confirmed that there was no emergency landing and definitely no talk about Kamala Harris.
Willie Brown, who played a significant role in Harris’s rise in politics and has been a longtime supporter, continues to back her as she pushes forward in her political career. Despite the noise, Brown is focused on supporting Harris, whom he describes as “absolutely beautiful,” “smart as hell,” and incredibly successful. With his usual enthusiasm, Brown expressed his excitement for the upcoming election, saying he’s ready to see Harris in the Oval Office.
