According to police, after someone removed the store’s entire inventory, a Manhattan wine company was left high and dry over 2,000 bottles worth around $300,000.
The owner told police Tuesday night that all of the inventory was in place when he was last at the Taste Wine Co. at 50 Third Ave. on Jan. 8, but the company had been closed for several months before that date.
Sources told The Post that 1,000 bottles of wine, 1,000 bottles of liquor, and 125 wine dispensers, and devices built to serve and store wines at the right temperatures were all stolen. The owner has set the wine bottles’ value at $150,000 and each dispenser at $1,200 each.
