Jim Cummings was the voice behind Winnie the Pooh but is now the face of rape accusations.
The iconic voice actor has been in a battle with his ex-wife, Stephanie Cummings since their divorce in 2011. According to documents obtained by The Blast, Stephanie claims “physical, sexual and emotional abuse including but not limited to death threats, rape, and various sexual deviant behavior forced upon me without my consent.”
She specified a “humiliating” time when he allegedly forced himself on her in front of their 4-year-old daughter. Cummings says, “He later came up behind me, grabbed my arm, spun me around, and forcefully put his hand on the back of my neck and kissed me while holding me in place against the wall.”
Meanwhile, Jim claims to have a different recollection of the incident. In his mind, it was “happy.” He retold the moment as him “joking and laughing,” and “slightly” touching her butt. He’s disputing his ex-wife’s version due to her being taller than him and “made no objection to anything.”
Besides an escalation into claims of alcohol, marijuana, and Adderall abuse, Stephanie also called Jim out for allegedly raping her in 2013. Details weren’t expanded, but she did speak on a time when she checked into rehab for “codependency.” During that time, he would visit, “without consent, would touch my buttocks, my groin, and my breasts. He would hold me in place attempting to kiss and fondle me. He would spank me in front of our daughters. He would then follow up by making sexual comments to me that I found repugnant.” He also apparently felt free to make obscene comments to their daughters about “touching Mommy’s breast.”
Of course, Jim argued against the story saying it was another incident where everyone was laughing. It seemed the only fall out they agreed happened was the actor disciplining a dog for urinating in the house by putting it in a metal bucket outside in 100-degree weather. We also can’t forget to mention Cummings saying he’s tried to get her to kill herself and calls their two daughters “n***** babies.”
Stephanie went on to describe the Disney star as a “much smaller version of Harvey Weinstein” with an addiction problem. The investigation into the former couple is continuing.
