In the ongoing federal investigation into Sean “Diddy” Combs, a new witness, Courtney Burgess, has come forward claiming to have significant evidence, including alleged sex tapes from Diddy’s exclusive parties and an unedited version of a memoir purportedly written by Diddy’s late ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter. Burgess, alongside his attorney Ariel Mitchell, testified before a federal grand jury in lower Manhattan on Thursday, providing what he says are crucial pieces of evidence in the high-profile case.
Attorney Ariel Mitchell, who represents Burgess, confirmed that her client was subpoenaed by the Department of Homeland Security, one of the federal agencies involved in the investigation into Diddy. According to Mitchell, Burgess was required to provide all digital records in his possession, including thumb drives, hard drives, and any electronic storage devices containing videos or other files related to Diddy.
Burgess claims to have, or have seen, videos featuring Diddy and other celebrities in compromising situations. He also asserts that he possesses what he calls the “real” version of a memoir allegedly written by Kim Porter, the late mother of four of Diddy’s children. Earlier this year, a memoir attributed to Porter briefly appeared on Amazon but was quickly pulled after her children publicly questioned its authenticity. Burgess insists that he has the authentic version, which could provide new insights into Porter’s life with Diddy and possibly corroborate some of the allegations against him.
Sources close to the case told TMZ that federal prosecutors have demanded that Burgess hand over all devices containing potential evidence. Mitchell, his attorney, indicated that they had a separate court hearing scheduled to clarify what specific evidence, if any, Burgess is required to turn over to federal authorities.
This latest development comes as Diddy faces serious federal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for the purposes of prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges, maintaining that the allegations are unfounded. Diddy’s legal team has argued that the accusations are exaggerated and has questioned the motives of some of his accusers.
The federal investigation has intensified in recent weeks, with prosecutors reportedly working to build a strong case based on witness testimonies and physical evidence. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams, who has been overseeing the case, previously encouraged others with relevant information to step forward, suggesting that more charges or even additional defendants could be added to the case.
For now, the federal grand jury continues to review evidence as Burgess’s testimony and alleged recordings add yet another twist to this already complex case. Diddy’s representatives have yet to publicly respond to the latest claims involving Burgess and his purported evidence. As the legal proceedings move forward, all eyes are on whether this new testimony will lead to further complications for the music mogul or provide the defense with grounds to challenge the credibility of the witness and his evidence.
In the meantime, the potential release of Kim Porter’s alleged memoir could shed light on some of the darker aspects of her relationship with Diddy. If Burgess’s claims hold up in court, this memoir could become a key piece of evidence in an investigation that has already shocked the entertainment world.
