Day seven of Tory Lanez‘s trial in the 2020 shooting of Megan thee Stallion began Tuesday with eyewitness Sean Kelly, who saw the assault from his Hollywood Hills home, taking the stand.
Law & Crime reporter Meghann Cuniff reports that the Q&A between Lanez’s defense attorney Mgdesyan and Kelly began after Kelly testified he witnessed two women violently fighting. The eyewitness said he then saw a larger gentleman get out of the car, presumed to be the driver — and eventually, all four people were engaging in the fight. Kelly testified that he heard what he believed to be fireworks and then saw a muzzle flash from the direction of one of the women. At the same time, Kelly stated he saw flashes coming from the direction of a shorter guy but believes the woman fired the first shot.
Kelly also testified that he never heard anyone yell, “dance, bitch,” but did witness a woman crawling away from the vehicle bleeding.
Lawyer of Workers also broke down Kelly’s testimony where he said the fight continued with three individuals beating up on one of the women. He claimed they picked her up and looked as if they were going to throw her into the river. However, they instead dragged her across the street and placed her in the car before driving off.
