Atlanta Dream All-Star Courtney Williams is apologizing after being seen throwing hands outside an Atlanta day club earlier this year.
In May, the WNBA player was recorded alongside her teammate, Crystal Bradford, engaging in a full-fledged altercation in front of a local food truck while squaring up, punching, and going after multiple women.
Also involved in the incident was former Dream player Kalani Brown, who was trying her best to break up the fight.
Over the weekend, Williams posted a video of the fight to YouTube where she cracked jokes and made light of the situation, before deleting it off her page.
Earlier this week, Williams took to Twitter to apologize for the post.
“I want to sincerely apologize for the video posted yesterday,” Williams said. “I would never want to represent myself or the organization in a negative way.”
She said, “I’m learning every day so I ask for grace as I’m growing. Again I apologize to all attached, and I will be better moving forward.”
According to TMZ, The team released a response to Insider, saying, “The behavior in the video is unacceptable and does not align with our values as an organization.” They added, “We are taking this matter very seriously and working with the league to gather more information and determine next steps.”
