A woman who was very adamant about practicing social distancing is accused of using pepper spray on another woman who tried to ride an elevator with her in the parking garage of a Walmart in Washington, D.C.
According to WJLA, eyewitnesses claimed shoppers were crowding around the elevator waiting to board when a woman with no mask on tried to close the door on the others.
Dominick Gamble, a shopper who recorded video of the incident, told WJLA, “She was talking about some social distancing, six feet, but she was real serious with it though.”
Gamble said when the other shoppers ignored the woman’s demands and attempted to get on the elevator; she sprayed them.
The victim declined treatment when an ambulance arrived, but security guards detained the assailant until police arrived. However, the woman was not arrested or charged.
Police questioned everyone on the scene, reviewed Gamble’s video, and they reportedly confiscated the pepper spray.
“Just try to not hurt nobody with this virus going on. Just stay in the house,” Gamble said.
