The new accuser‘s attorneys are demanding that Trey Songz pays for allegedly groping their client and exposing her breast, TMZ reported.
A demand letter was sent out to Songz and his team Thursday by attorneys George Vrabeck and Ariel Mitchell, who are representing, Megan Johnson, the woman who alleges the sexual assault happened during a party back in August 2013.
Johnson was at an event called “Foxwoods Liquid Sundays with Trey Songz” at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT, and says she encountered Trey in the VIP tent.
The letter details how Johnson was having a friend take a picture of her, and that’s when Trey allegedly came from behind her and pulled her breast out from her bikini top and then chanted “T***ies in the Open” four different times.
Johnson is shown quickly reaching up to cover her chest in embarrassment.
While she appears to laugh it off, her attorneys claim she was humiliated and the incident caused lasting damage, which included severe emotional distress and self-harm.
They also say their client was triggered by the singer’s Las Vegas case, although it has been dropped by authorities. However, Trey can make the new matter go away if he agrees to settle for north of $5 mil.
However, there may be the issue of statute of limitations for Johnso. The statute of limitations for CT is generally 3 years, but if the accuses experiences a memory issue
where they don’t recall the incident until they are triggered later, the victim may be able to try to extend that period.
Johnson’s legal team is giving Trey until May 5 to respond.
