A white woman believed to be Rayshard Brooks’ girlfriend has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to the Wendy’s, where Brooks was shot dead by an officer.
Natalie White was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the same time Brooks’ funeral was being held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Just before he was killed, Brooks told police he had been with a woman named Natalie White that night; however, it hasn’t been confirmed if this is the same woman.
Brooks was a married father-of-four, but after being pulled over in Wendy’s parking lot, he reportedly told cops he was there to pick up food for him and his ‘girlfriend ‘Natalie White.’
An arrest warrant was issued this week for White, who they said was filmed on a surveillance camera setting the Wendy’s on fire after Brooks was killed on June 12.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit arrested White around 3:30 pm, but her relationship with Brooks has not been independently confirmed.
The officer who fired two shots in Brooks’ back, Garrett Rolfe, has been arrested and charged with felony murder and 10 other counts.
