A Florida woman allegedly attacked an Uber driver, choking him from behind while driving, and viciously bit his neck while he tried to escape the bizarre, unprovoked attack.
According to the Daily Mail, 55-year-old Michele Stilwell fell asleep during the Uber ride. She suddenly woke up and allegedly began choking the driver while he was driving in St. Petersburg on Saturday.
The 22-year-old driver, Michael Hassey Jr., said Stilwell suddenly “sprouted up” and attacked him while screaming, “My daughter!”
“She started screaming curse words at me and slapped me in the face,” Hassey told WFLA8 about the attack. “She sinks into my neck like a pitbull, shaking her head and stuff.”
When the news reporter asked him why he didn’t fight back against the attack, Hassey admitted he didn’t want to hit the woman.
“I let it happen,” he said. “I didn’t put my hands back on her because I have two sisters, and I was raised to never put my hands on a female.”
Hassey said he is “emotionally traumatized” by the attack and won’t be driving for Uber again.
Stilwell, a registered nurse in the state of Florida since 1996, was arrested and charged two felonies; with aggravated battery and tampering with a witness and was released on a $15,000 bond.
