Woman Evades Airport Security & Boards A Plane So That She Could Meet Jay-Z

A Chicago woman was arrested on Sunday after evading security checkpoints at O’Hare International Airport and illegally boarding an American Airlines flight bound for Los Angeles in an effort to meet rap mogul Jay-Z.

23-year-old Yaazmina Payton was apprehended and charged with criminal trespassing after someone spotted the woman sneaking under ropes at a boarding door near a ticket gate around 7:45 a.m. Sunday morning. Agents were quickly alerted and confronted Payton, who did not have a ticket or boarding pass.   She confessed that she dodged authorities at the security checkpoints and even offered to demonstrate how she was able to pull off the plot, all in an effort to meet HOV.

Payton was released on $500 bail. Judge John F. Lyke Jr. ordered her banned from O’Hare International Airport. Her court-appointed attorney claimed that the young woman was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and an anxiety disorder.

A TSA spokesman said in a statement that the agency was conducting an investigation into the security breach, which could take up to 90 days to complete.

Representatives for Jay-Z have not commented on the matter.
