A Miami woman says she and her gay male friend were the victims of a hate crime. Last night Miami Dolphins’ Mike Pouncey and his twin brother Maurkice Pouncey of the Pittsburgh Steelers, celebrated their birthday at Cameo Nightclub in Miami. What happened next is unclear but around 4:20 am a gay male and a female claim they were brutally assaulted by the Twins and bouncers.
The openly gay male who claims to be the victim of this assault is @irickyvasquez. He tweeted early this morning, “I just got jumped by 4 bouncers and the Pouncey Twins at Cameo. I’m going to press charges. My face is swollen. And my tooth is chipped. Look at my fucking tooth. This shit is NOT over. I’m fucking 5’6″ both of guys play for the fucking NFL.” He says that he was standing on the dance floor when he felt a punch in his back. He turned around and Mike Pouncey came in his face. His friend Honey (@pretty_moneymmg) got in between and he says Mike swung and punched her in the face while his brother punched him. stomped them and hit them with bottles. They were thrown out of Cameo by security, according to a friend.
Honey also tells the story of how she got involved and was beaten by the twins as well. “Went inside Cameo 10 minutes just to be punched in my face by Marquise Pouncey for trying to stop him and his brother mike from beating the shit out of my friend @irickyvasquez. Filed a report even though the Police said nothing probably will be done about this situation. These athletes get on all these fuckin drugs and act an ass knowing they will be protected by these clubs because of how much money they spend in their clubs but I’m not gonna let this shit rest. I’m a female and I won’t Stand for no man putting their hands on me.”
Miami Beach Police say that there was indeed an incident at Cameo last night, but they are not completely sure if the Pouncey Twins were involved. They tell Broward Palm Beach New Times, “We have not confirmed it’s the Pouncey brothers that are the subjects, but we are going to have detectives contacting the victims to investigate further.”
Below is a photo of the Pouncey Twins at Cameo. They also openly support Aaron Hernandez and were wearing “Free Hernandez” hats last night. It’s probably not going to help their case.
