A woman who was driving with her two children was shot last week in Northeast D.C. by another driver in a road rage incident caught on video.
Surveillance video captured the tense moment when the gunman jumped out of a silver Maserati and opened fire.
The shots left three bullet holes in the rear window on the driver’s side, near where the children were seated. Their mother is recovering after being hit in the shoulder.
May 19th surveillance footage showed the woman driving along Eastern Avenue NE when she attempted to get in front of the Maserati, after which the driver jumped out into the street and shot at her and the car behind him, missing that driver.
The gunman then got back into the Maserati and drove away. The victim (who asked not to be identified) is now recovering safely at home.
“I feel like people like that; they have no place in society. To me, he acts like an animal; he acted like an animal,” the victim said.
