Woman That Sent Ricin To Donald Trump Is Arrested

A Canadian woman that sent a letter addressed to President Donald Trump containing ricin was arrested by Customs and Border Protection agents while trying to enter the United States from Canada. She will be charged by the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington.

“An arrest was made of an individual allegedly responsible for sending a suspicious letter,” the F.B.I. said in a statement.”The investigation is ongoing.”

Last year, the woman was arrested in Mission, Texas for possession of an unlicensed weapon, carrying a fake driver’s license, and resisting arrest, a senior intelligence official said.

This isn’t the first time that someone has tried to send ricin to President Trump. In 2018, a letter addressed to President Trump containing ricin was intercepted by federal authorities.
