The Food Network removed season 20 of the Worst Cooks in America after the winner was arrested for homicide. Ariel Robinson and her husband Jerry Robinson are accused of killing their foster daughter, Victoria Rose Smith. The 3-year-old girl was unresponsive at home and later died at Greenville Memorial Hospital from multiple blunt force injuries.
“Police officers handle all kinds of cases, and these kinds of cases can be the hardest for them to do,” Justin Lee Campbell, Simpsonville police spokesperson, said. “It is a sad day. You bring charges and maybe convictions, but at the end of the day, the life of a child was taken. For anyone who knew the victim or was related to the victim, they are in our thoughts and prayers.”
Robinson won $25,000 during the August 2, 2020, finale episode of Worst Cooks in America.
According to Deadline, the Food Network removed the season from VOD services, Discovery+, Hulu, and YouTube.
The couple appeared before a judge last week and were denied bond.
