Xscape and SWV have scored a new unscripted series produced by Mona Scott-Young.
On Thursday, Bravo announced the project was approved and is scheduled to premier this upcoming winter. The multi-part series will feature the iconic girl groups as they navigate through their personal and professional lives.
Tentatively titled, XSCAPE/SWV, the production will allow fans to see how the groups prepare “for a show that promises to reignite their music careers.” The series will reveal how much is at stake for LaTocha Scott-Bivens, Tamika Scott, Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George, and LeAnne “Lelee” Lyons.
Xscape member, Kandi Burrus, expressed her excitement of reuniting with the group. “Hitting the stage with my #Xscape sisters is always magic! Definitely felt the strength of these women at the @strengthofawomanfest!”
Another Xscape member, Tiny, also shared her opinion on the upcoming show. “This will be interesting to see how this show plays out with my sisters @kandi @therealtamikascott @iamlatocha & our SWV sisters @tajgeorge @therealcokoswv @therealleleeswv Pray for us all. Let’s go @bravo.”

It’s unclear what sparked the idea to create the series, but it may have something to do with the group’s recent Verzuz battle. During Mother’s Day weekend 2021, SWV and Xscape went head-to-head in a battle celebrating the legacy of ’90s R&B.
In addition, Xscape recently performed at Mary J. Blige’s Strength Of A Woman Festival And Summit on May 7. During their set, the ladies performed some of their timeless hits, including: “Who Can I Run To,” “Just Kickin’ It,” and “My Little Secret.” The quartet also brought their mothers onstage and presented them with special plaques, bouquets of flowers, and an intimate rendition of “Understanding.”
