Looks like XXXtentacion is turning over a new leaf just in time for his upcoming domestic abuse trial. According to Vibe, the rapper recently announced his plans to host an anti-rape event during the Art Basel in Miami.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“At Art Basel this month, I will be hosting an anti-rape event where basically rape victims can come to this event and tell their stories and help others and support others who have been through a similar instance,” XXXtentacion said in a video on social media.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The rapper’s announcement comes just two months after Pitchfork released court documents, detailing allegations of abuse and threats of rape against the rapper. In incidents that occurred back in 2016, XXXtentacion’s then-girlfriend claimed the rapper had slapped her, threatened to kill her and brutally beat her during their relationship. She also said he threatened to rape her with barbeque appliances. However, despite the allegations, as the rapper prepares for his Anti-rape event, he’s asking fans to “come with the full support in your heart.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I’d ask that if you come to the event you come bearing no type of negative energy and you make sure you come with the full support in your heart to those that have experienced any sort of post-traumatic experience or event. I ask that you be understanding,” he said.

According to reports, the rapper’s domestic abuse trial will commence on Dec. 11, just one day after Art Basel ends.
