In June 2018, many mourned the untimely death of XXXTentacion after he was shot outside of a Florida car dealership.
Two years have gone by, and X’s family and friends are still waiting for justice to be served against the alleged killers — Trayvon Newsome, Dedrick D. Williams, and Michael Boatwright.
Recently, X’s father, Dwayne Onfroy, took to his Instagram story to express to the public what he hopes to see happen.
“Y’all killed that young man, that father, that son, that brother without a cause. I say this no malice in my heart,” Onfroy wrote. “I am seeking life without parole for the participants in the robbery and cold-blooded murder of my son and the man who pulled the trigger ‘I am going to seek the death penalty.'”
Due to the current pandemic, many high-profile cases have been pushed back, but the three suspects have been arrested. All were expected in court in November and are now awaiting their murder trials.
