YSL co-defendant Yak Gotti isn’t picking sides in the ongoing mystery surrounding Young Thug and Gunna’s friendship. During a recent appearance on “The Danza Project,” the rapper made it clear he’s on good terms with both.

“I ain’t got no problem with Gunna…Gunna still my brother. Thug my big brother. I was taught when two grown men having differences or whatever, especially when there’s family involved, you stay out of that. You don’t get in no n***a business. That’s them, and the tables will turn on you one day.”
Later in the interview, Yak added more context to his stance on Gunna’s controversial plea deal. He suggested the rapper was “manipulated into a situation.”
“He made a decision and now, he got to live with that decision,” he said. “People make mistakes, bro, it’s life. We human.”
This comes as fans continue to speculate about the status of Thug and Gunna’s relationship. The two were arrested on RICO charges in 2022. Gunna was released after accepting a plea deal that led to snitching allegations, claims he denies.
Young Thug followed in October 2023 with his own plea deal. He can’t contact most YSL affiliates, though he specifically requested future collaboration with Gunna.
Still, Thug gave no clarity in an April GQ interview, saying “I don’t know” when asked about his status with Gunna.
