Kanye West is back in the lab with his Yeezy line and has unveiled the first footwear product since parting ways with Adidas.
On Thursday, Ye announced the Yeezy Pods on his social media. The interesting shoe design combines a high black sock with a thin sole on the bottom, taking components from similar styles introduced by Balenciaga in recent years. The producer and rapper has been spotted rocking Yeezy Pods during several outings, giving fans early glimpses of his new product.
Yeezy Pods are now available for pre-order on Yeezy.com. Customers have three size groups to choose from: 1, 2, and 3. Size 1 is reserved for adult U.S. shoe sizes under 6. Those ordering a 2 is for shoe sizes 7 to U.S. 9.5, and lastly, 3 is for U.S. shoe sizes 10 to 13. Shoppers also have a new lineup of Yeezy merchandise, including pants, t-shirts, and shorts. Music lovers may also reserve their copy of Ty Dolla Sign and West’s joint album, “Vultures.”

The new Yeezy offering seems to be a fresh start for West, who issued an apology to the Jewish community for his past antisemitic comments just days before his Pods rollout. His many derogatory remarks aimed at Jews are part of the reason why many of his business dealings fell through. Adidas parting ways with Ye after their years-long Yeezy deal was one of the most shocking fallouts. JPMorgan Chase also chose to stop doing business with the Grammy award winner following his rants.
The comfort shoe is priced at $200 and is expected to begin shipping within the next four weeks.
