Yaya Mayweather Reportedly Pleads Guilty in 2020 Stabbing Incident

Yaya Mayweather, daughter of boxer Floyd Mayweather, reportedly pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in a Texas courtroom Wednesday. The charges stem from the 2020 stabbing of Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, the mother of one of NBA YoungBoy’s children.

Per court documents, prosecutors suggest six months of probation for the assault, though official sentencing details have not been released.

She is reportedly expected back in court on June 16.

Mayweather, who claimed to be NBA YoungBoy’s fiancee at the time, is accused of stabbing Jacobs after she discovered her in YoungBoy’s home. After Jacobs refused to leave, an argument between her and Mayweather ensued, leading to the stabbing.

Yaya and Youngboy had an on-again, off-again relationship for years and welcomed a child together in January 2020.

The 21-year-old originally faced up to 20 years in prison.
