Ye and his wife, Bianca Censori, are taking action against a dentist who they claim got the rapper addicted to nitrous gas.

According to a press release, the couple served Beverly Hills dentist Dr. Thomas Connelly with a formal notice of intent to sue, accusing him of “medical malpractice, gross negligence, fraud, exploitation, [and] reckless administration of controlled and uncontrolled substances.” They allege Connelly charged Ye $50,000 per month for nitrous oxide and left him with “neurological and physical injury,” “psychological and emotional trauma,” and “chemical dependency which required treatment.” The lawsuit claims the “Jesus Walks” star became a customer of Connelly’s in 2024, during which Connelly performed oral surgery on Ye by installing a custom titanium crown.

The release further claims that in spring 2024, Connelly “attempted to seize control of the Grammy winner’s global music and fashion brand, Yeezy LLC, while incapacitating its principal, Ye, with a cocktail of controlled and uncontrolled substances.”

Ye’s former rep, Milo Yiannopoulos, first disclosed the addiction last August, stating, “Connelly got Ye hooked on nitrous, laughing gas. It is my belief that Connelly sought to diminish Ye’s mental faculties so that Connelly and his business associates could extract millions of dollars from him.” Yiannopoulos added, “Connelly was a dangerous predator who targets African-American celebrities, into whose mouth he puts fake diamonds.”

The couple’s filing includes a long list of alleged damages, including “financial harm and economic losses, and loss of consortium.”

Per California law, the notice gives the defendant 90 days before a formal malpractice lawsuit can be filed. Connelly previously denied the claims, calling Yiannopoulos’ statements “factually incorrect” and “intentionally misleading.”
