In a controversial interview with Akademiks, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, explained why he dissed his late friend Virgil Abloh during one of his recent Twitter rants.

Dressed in a KKK-style hood and an all-black robe, Ye stood in front of Akademiks, who asked why he chose to post “F**k Virgil” during a February meltdown online. Akademiks noted that fans were “confused” by Ye’s harsh statement following Abloh’s passing. However, the “Jesus Walks” star provided a direct response.
“I’m evil,” he replied.
In that particular tweet, Ye wrote, “I LOVE TRAV VIRGIL AND DRAKE DRAKE THE REALEST ONE OF THOSE THREE THOUGH HE NOT FAKE COOL HE’S JUST TALENTED AF AND YES ITS F**K VIRGIL AND ANY OF THESE OTHER N***AS THAT WORKED FOR ME THAN USED ME THEN WENT AGAINST ME I LOVE VIRGIL AND HE USED THAT VERY LOVE.”
Travis Scott quickly unfollowed Ye on social media after the tweet. While the reasons behind Ye’s issues with Abloh remain unclear, the two had been close friends for years before Abloh’s death on November 28th, 2021.
