Kanye West, now known as Ye, is making headlines again—this time for declaring that he wants Drake, his longtime on-again, off-again rival, to speak at his funeral.
In a recent string of social media posts, Ye reflected on his past jealousy toward Drake after seeing a video of him showcasing his library of rhyme books.
“Man, I wish I could have seen and remembered this when my jealousy overtook me… I love Drake,” he wrote in all caps. “I’ma say this when I die I need you to speak at me funeral.”

Ye and Drake have had a complicated history, from public feuds and diss tracks to their 2021 reconciliation at the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert. While tensions resurfaced last year—most notably with Ye’s provocative remix of “Like That”—he has recently praised Drake, even calling him the “realest one” just last month.
However, Ye’s latest post wasn’t just about Drake. In the same social media spree, he continued to embrace Nazi imagery, repeated his controversial “slavery is a choice” remarks, and made incoherent statements about race and history.
