YFN Lucci is a mainstay in today’s rap game. The “Everyday We Lit” rapper puts on for his hometown of Atlanta, rising as one of the frontrunners of this new wave of melodic hip-hop. Most recently, he released his new mixtape titled HIStory, consisting of 16 tracks full of anthems for the streets.
Now, he sits down with Baller Alert for our latest episode of Sesh w/ Shirley. Catching up over a @gascola joint, Lucci discusses the making of his hit single, “Everyday We Lit,” friendships with Nipsey Hussle and Pop Smoke, doing a whole tape with Mozzy, his new single “Wet,” and more!
Speaking on the passing of Pop Smoke, Lucci said, “It affected the whole music industry. No one wants to wake up and see another artist dead, that shit keeps happening. We become targets. That shit crazy, long live Pop Smoke. Long live everybody, Nipsey. It’s a lot of people.”
