On Thursday, YG turned himself in on felony robbery charges stemming from a May incident at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred around 4 am after a man approached the rapper for a picture. When YG’s entourage turned the man away, officials say the man told the rapper he wasn’t a real celeb.
The slick remark prompted YG to snatch the dude’s chain from his neck, making off with a diamond-laced pendant worth somewhere between $3k and $9k. The incident was caught on video.
As a result, officials issued a warrant for the rapper’s arrest, which prompted him to turn himself in. However, he was released after posting $20k bail.
